In cooperation with the City of Dowagiac, joint staff of the Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Development Authority spearhead a pro-active campaign for business recruitment, retention and expansion. Our staff maintains a database of demographics, an economic profile for the region, up-to-date data on available properties, and assists in the location and negotiation of rental space.

To enhance the profitability of our member businesses, the Chamber hosts periodic educational workshops, often in cooperation with local financial institutions, on such topics as marketing, investments and SBA financing.

Held on a seasonal basis, Business After Hours provides members with the opportunity to talk one-on-one in a social setting as they enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres. Host sites look forward to showcasing their place of business, products and services.
