Volunteers and staff of the Greater Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce coordinate the three-day Fun Fest "Celebrate the Music" and its Mini Grand Prix in July, the Rod & Roll Classic Auto Show in August, the Old-Fashioned Christmas Celebration in mid-November, the Candle-light Christmas Parade in December, and Dowagiac Ice Time Festival in February.

Retail promotions have featured Easter Eggstravaganza, Mother's Day, Father's Day and the downtown mum distribution. The Chamber co-sponsors the popular Beckwith Park Summer Concert Series. It also raises funds for, and is the host of, the Miss Dowagiac Scholarship Pageant.

The Greater Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce takes pride in the innovative retail promotions and festivals it offers our community, many of which have been profiled in the Chamber Executive Network, a national advisory newsletter for chamber managers, and the Downtown Promotion Reporter and Downtown Idea Exchange, published by the Downtown Research & Development Center in New York.

The Chamber is an active member of Southwestern Michigan Tourist Council, West Michigan Tourist Association, Michigan Festivals & Events Association and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
