Unique for an organization our size, the Greater
Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce operates its own retail boutique, Whistlestop
Gifts, which is located within the historic Dowagiac train depot.
Specializing in Dowagiac gift items and memorabilia, the boutique
is popular among vacationers and local residents, who enjoy sending
custom-designed Dowagiac gift items and apparel to children at college,
or to family members who have relocated out-of-state.

Whistlestop Gifts is pleased to market for the
Downtown Development Authority the two-volume set of books entitled
Dowagiac Stories, written by the late Stan Hamper, who was
an avid historian.
Available exclusively for use by our Chamber member businesses, the
boutique also carries custom-designed Dowagiac shopping bags. The
tri-color plastic bags, which feature The Grand Old City logo in burgundy
and teal, measure 15 by 18-inches and provide a sturdy die-cut handle.
