In
the tradition of the musical fare presented in Dowagiac during the
late 1800s by the Round Oak Band, friends and family gather downtown
on Thursday evenings for the Beckwith Park Summer Concert Series.
Held at the Haggin-Wimberley Memorial Bandstand, the series opens
the first Thursday in June. To view this year's performance dates,

Music enthusiasts enjoy vocal and instrumental performances of jazz,
bluegrass, the big band sound and ethnic. Concerts begin at 7:30
p.m. The bricked parkway allows ample room for lawn chair seating.
The concert series, which is underwritten by Huntington Bank, is
co-sponsored by the Dowagiac Downtown Development Authority and Greater
Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce.
