The
Dowagiac Art Guild Rose Gallery is a showcase for local and regional
artists in historic downtown Dowagiac.
Operated by members of the Dowagiac Art Guild, the oldest arts group
of The Grand Old City, the gallery is located at 223 1/2 S. Front
Street. It offers art exhibits, gallery showings and special events
throughout the year. Educational classes for aspiring artists are
also offered.
The Dowagiac Art Guild's annual fine arts show is held the first
Saturday of August on the lawn of Central Middle School, where you'll
view the works of watercolor, pencil, pastel, oils and acrylics.
The Rose Gallery, which was named after the late Rose Potter, a
longtime art guild member, is open to the public free of charge.
The gallery is located adjacent to Dowagiac City
Hall, between South Front Street and Depot Drive. For more information,
