Encore Dance Company's mission as a non-profit organization is to develop inter-discipline and integrity in youth through the performing arts. Classes are offered for ages three through adult. Instruction includes: jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, creative movement, kinderdance, liturgical and lyrical, hula and improv.

Among Encore's most popular performances is Christmas Around the World, which is presented in mid-December. This is a must-see holiday production for all ages. Dancing elves and reindeer are joined by life-size toys that spring to life. Under the direction of artistic director Amy Rose, international dance styles are combined with guest vocalists and instrumentalists. This dance extravaganza promises to be an annual highlight of the season.

Named in honor of the fishing lure produced locally by James Heddon's Sons, this popular saloon, with outdoor patio, serves lunch and dinner. Occasional vocal and instrumental entertainment Thursday and Saturday evenings, with comedy club the last Sunday of the month during winter. Lures, memorabilia and even a talking fish enhance its atmosphere.
