A customer-driven workforce development system that serves employers and job seekers, Michigan Works! Employment and Resource Center is conveniently located within Dowagiac on North Front Street.

Michigan Works! oversees a variety of programs to help employers find skilled workers and to help job seekers find satisfying careers. Programs are designed to prepare youth and unskilled adults for entry into the labor force and to help individuals, who face serious barriers to employment, obtain the assistance necessary to get and keep a job.

Program agencies allow:

		employers to post job listings on the nation's first Internet-based public labor exchange
		job seekers to post resumes for review by employers who are recruiting workers
		dislocated workers to improve their job-seeking skills
		young people to make the transition from school to a good career

Dowagiac employers can benefit from its labor exchange and testing services, recruitment assistance, screening, referrals and job postings.
