UPDATE:  Easter Eggstravaganza 2023 will take place on April 1st --rain, shine, sleet or snow!  The Easter Bunny is very busy this time of year, and changing their schedule might prove challenging if extreme weather occurs.   So....Visit the Easter Bunny from 10:30 to 12:30 inside the Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce office, located in the Dowagiac Train Depot.  Be a Bunny Costume Contest will be held at  11:30 a.m,  and activities around the depot will be adjusted, weather permitting.  The Egg Hunt will still take place at noon at City Hall Park.

 

Easter Eggstravaganza celebrates its 22nd year on Saturday, April 1.   Activites will take place at Dowagiac City Hall park and the Dowagiac Train Depot.  While waiting for the egg hunt, which will begin at noon, families can visit with the Easter Bunny, participate in lawn games and decorate the sidewalks with chalk from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.   Additionally, the traditional Be a Bunny Costume Contest will return. Children can dress festively and creatively. Three prizes will be awarded: Best Overall, Most Colorful and Most Original.

    Facade Incentives Still Available through the DDA

    Downtown property owners contemplating facade renovations of their buildings can receive an added boost this construction season from the Downtown Development Authority. Building owners are encouraged to apply for a Facade Incentive Grant offered by the City of Dowagiac's Downtown Development Authority commission.
